this month was pretty eventful, so i'll share some of the highlights..
(we had to say goodbye to amy, one of our youth advisors, as she follows her calling to serve in norcal. it was pretty sad.. we'll definitely miss her. see if you can find me.. hint: i'm the only fobby one)
(dad visits america for 6 days.. and what does he do? he rents this big box for a day .. and concludes that he doesn't really like it because it's not easy to drive.. haha)

i'm glad i was able to go to retreat. the last efc retreat i went to was 4 years ago, themed "x-factor", in which God did amazing things. this year's theme was "living out loud", or "lol"; pretty catchy, i must say. retreat in a nutshell: challenging and applicable messages by the pastors of other efc churches, a good time spent with our youth group, being able to have good conversations with framps and luke at night, leading a small group of freshmen guys, playing the ridiculous "trash-can game", a hilarious talent show, balling up little high schoolers during free time, eating food that gives you lots of gas, sleeping in hotel-like rooms, and seeing people who i haven't seen in years like john hsieh and tommy!
YES! i'm pretty much caught up in terms of updates! next time i can finally write a "real" update.. not an update that happened months ago.. hahaha.
though i don't really remember what happened during these 2 months..
1. i tried to figure out where God wanted me to be for the next part of my life. fast forward to january, and i'm still not sure. been praying about it, but not enough. 2. i think these 60 days were about everything real estate - walkthroughs, escrow dates, moving, construction, tenants, loans, insurance, utilities, HOAs, taxes, listings.. 3. spending a lot of time with mom.. in the car.. haha.
(flew back just in time for this boy's birthday bash.. he was so excited obviously that he couldn't even drink water without spilling some along the way..) (here's some of us thinking.. it's about time kitty turned 23!!) (so my mom had this crazy idea that she'd move into this house in oceanside.. so she did. and she made sure i did all the work.. haha)
man this is a stupid entry.. but don't worry, DECEMBER will be much more exciting.
i got the chance to go back to visit taiwan and china during this month - what can i say to sum it up?
1. lots of eating and drinking (boba, that is..) 2. getting to see and hang out with some cool people in taipei 3. joining a fob tour to malaysia with mom 4. visiting dad in shenzhen, and going to xiamen for the first time 5. filling up my passport with more stamps!

(our hotel view of the world's tallest twin towers - the petronas towers in kuala lumpur) (the tour guide took us to an ostrich farm - but this is definitely not an ostrich. man too bad the monkey wouldn't do the fob sign) (but i guess my mom makes up for it.. haha. here she is riding on an OSTRICH.. i didn't even know it was possible..) (i spotted these ridiculously large bananas.. man look at them!!) (we're supposedly outside the gate to the king's palace) (check out our fob tour group.. good times) (this happens to be the ONLY picture i took during my two weeks in china.. haha. this is a taiwanese boat near xiamen at the border between the two countries) (my purpose to china was to visit dad, so i better post a pic of him.. from 3 years ago.. haha)
so it has been brought to my attention that i'm pretty fobbed out in my pictures.. i'd concur.. haha. no shame!
